Yellow Flowers in a Summer Wedding...Simply Stunning!

The color yellow is one of my personal favorites and this arrangement from our friends at Fiddly Fig Flowers really is an eye-catcher when brides visit us. The two flowers used are calla lilies (did you know they came in colors other than white?) and oncidium orchids.

In the years I also owned a flower shop, I developed a love of "all things orchid," and these feathery ones are known in layman terms as "Dancing Lady" orchids.  They come in only yellow but are so unique and long-lasting. Fiddly Fig, located in the vintage brick fire station in Kansas City's Brookside neighborhood, has provided flowers for tons of my brides through the years. Customers are always thrilled with the quantity they receive for the dollar and the extraordinary customer service. The owner, Sheryl White, personally comes to all of my weddings to handle the installation of the church and reception pieces, pinning on the corsages and stays to transfer arrangements from church to reception.  There isn't another owner in town that does that.

The picture below is one of one of my brides for whom we used yellow calla lilies in a crescent shaped bouquet. Gorgeous color. Gorgeous couple.  (Gorgeous photograph, courtesy of Paul Versluis at Versluis Photography.)

On a cloudy day like we are having, it's nice to dream of sunshine like this on your wedding day!!
